The Granite State Health Care Coalition (GSHCC) serves the entire state of New Hampshire under a grant from the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR). At this time, the GSHCC is actively working with the NH Department of Health & Human Services, Bureau of Emergency Preparedness, Response, and Recovery and healthcare partners as a direct support to the state’s public health response to help coordinate statewide response to the active COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the healthcare system and people of New Hampshire.

In collaboration with partners across the state, the Granite State Health Care Coalition has been actively working to enhance healthcare preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery to COVID-19 through a number of activities, including:

• Conducting risk assessments with hospital emergency management coordinators and other healthcare leaders to identify current and future resource shortfalls;
• Processing and monitoring requests for personal protective equipment (PPE);
• Assisting with planning efforts for the establishment of Alternate Care Sites (ACS) to create additional surge bed capacity, if needed;
• Participating in the development of the state’s Mass Fatality Management Plan;
• Providing technical assistance to users in the statewide healthcare information management system to increase situational awareness and facilitate information sharing; and
• Disseminating daily information to healthcare partners to facilitate situational awareness and a common operating picture.
