The Foundation for Healthy Communities and Foundation for Opioid Response Efforts are partnering to host a conference for folks interested in improving care for patients with substance use disorder in acute care hospitals. The conference will take place on April 28, 2023 from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord.
The day’s theme is Bring Your Heart to Work and will invite participants to learn, reflect, and share experiences, best practices, and new ways to integrate open hearted compassion
into their health care practice. Participants will hear a mix of presentations and engage in a handful of human centered design activities designed to help them leave inspired and
confident to drive improved care for patients with substance use disorder.
Learning Objectives: As a result of participating in this learning activity, participants will have the opportunity to:
- Engage in reflection, empathy, and open heartedness to explore care delivery for patients with SUD;
- Collaborate in generative insight sharing and co-design to identify current and future practices that might improve patient experiences and outcomes; and
- Develop through shared ideation, guiding principles and next steps.
