ReGen Valley Project
Through Regen Valley’s economic development grant, the New Hampshire Foundation for Healthy Communities is supporting workforce development and stakeholder awareness of regenerative medicine therapies, which are focused on developing and applying new treatments to heal tissues and organs and restore function lost due to aging, disease, damage or defects.

The Advanced Regenerative Medicine Institute (“ARMI”) was awarded a $44M grant by the EDA to develop “ReGen Valley” in the lower Merrimack Valley region as an economic hub for this emerging field. The Foundation for Healthy Communities was named as a partner in this award, leading a project titled “Strengthening Demand Generation and Clinical Readiness” to drive provider engagement and educational opportunities to equip New Hampshire’s healthcare providers to deliver these new treatment opportunities to their patients. FHC is helping provide access to novel, innovative and potentially curative treatments for New Hampshire residents with chronic illnesses.
Working Together
FHC’s expertise and mission is to build healthier communities through partnership, collaboration and creating innovative solutions to advance health care for NH residents. In this project, FHC is partnering with Franklin Pierce University to support strategic planning for the expansion of education and training opportunities for health care professionals with a shared goal of developing industry expertise and

Goals of the ReGen Valley Project
Evaluate patient, caregiver, and provider knowledge, attitudes and beliefs about regenerative medicine. Conduct baseline assessment of current-state perspectives in order to inform strategic planning.
Develop and launch engagement plan to generate interest, inform attitudes and socialize information about ReGen valley. Utilizing data gained from stakeholder survey identify gaps in knowledge and advance awareness of regenerative medicine practices.
Establish provider education and workforce pipeline to aid in deployment of Regenerative Medicine practices within economic district. Advise stakeholders on development infrastructure to support growth capacity and industry buildout.
Expand access to innovative, high-quality treatment options for patients with chronic illness, cancer and other complex medical conditions. Identify opportunities for high-impact deployment of regenerative medicine practices and advocate for patient’s access to treatment options.
Protect and ensure equity across populations as new treatment options become available. Advise on proactive practices to ensure advances in regenerative medicine yield improved access and health outcomes across populations.
