Trauma Informed Care Pilot Project

“Remembering how effective the trauma-informed frame of reference is when working in extremely busy emergency departments keeps me in check. It is important to become mindful and ask ourselves, ‘What has happened to this client that has shaped their behavior? How can I be of service? How can I set an example for other staff members in the hospital? How can I best determine what would best support and comfort this person in their time of crisis?’ The sustainability of staff, emergency room collaboration, agency collaboration, and client care absolutely depends on this.” Trauma Informed Care Pilot Project Participant
