The Foundation for Healthy Communities has partnered with hospitals across the state to support their implementation of Substance Use Disorder Treatment projects:
To date, 21 hospitals have been involved in 43 projects. Over 1,000 unique patients received care in outpatient practices, approximately 4,500 patients have received care in emergency departments, and over 800 patients received care in inpatient units. With the shift to hospital/system wide projects and including all substance use disorders in 2021, many more patients have benefitted from enhanced screening, treatment, and referral.
